The Santa Cruz Vala full-suspension electric bike is an ebike with maximum power, battery capacity, and maximum capability, durability and agility. Years of experience in building capable, fun and durable bikes have been combined with first-class Bosch drive components. The result is a fun bike that can efficiently handle a wider range of trails and saves your energy so you can handle them playfully too.

The powerful Bosch Performance CX motor is powered by a lightweight (3 kg) integrated battery with a capacity of 600 Wh, which can be expanded with an additional PowerMore external battery with a capacity of 250 Wh for longer rides (this additional battery must be purchased separately.

You have the entire Bosch electric drive system under your thumb thanks to the minimalist wireless controller on the grip. The easy-to-read and subtly integrated display on the top frame tube then allows you to quickly read data about the system status.

Four-pivot linkage system instead of VPP
Due to the difficulty of placing a full-fledged electric motor in the places where VPP pivots are normally located, a completely new linkage system has been designed that combines a balance of properties that prevent excessive bobbing when pedalling (anti-squat) and at the same time does not stiffen and stop working during intensive braking (anti-rise). The result is a linkage system that reduces kickback into the pedals due to the work of the rear suspension on bumps, while the suspension does not bob unnecessarily, but remains functional when you pedal hard on a rough trail.

The bike is designed and delivered in a mixed geometry (“mullet”) with a 27.5" wheel at the rear for greater handling and a 29" wheel at the front for greater stability.

The rear stay pivot (flipchip) allows you to adjust the height of the centre from the ground (+/-4 mm) and change the head angle (+/- 0.3 degrees).

The rear shock absorber has a pivot that changes the suspension travel (progression) by 26/29%.

The rear stay with large pivots and bearings has been designed for high durability and longer service intervals.

The rear stay bearings are covered by a lifetime warranty of free replacement for the first owner directly from the manufacturer.
