What is S-Works
S-Works are the top models of the American Specialized brand. They are manufactured using the most advanced technology and the best materials available. When designing them, Specialized does not consider the complexity of production or the cost of development, the only relevant criteria is to move the quality, technology and performance of the bike forward.

Top-quality components and tuned frames
An important attribute of S-Works models is that all components are of the highest possible standard. No component on these bikes is of lesser quality, nor do the brand's designers compromise here.
Of course, huge attention is also paid to the frames, so it's fair to say that - unlike competitor bikes - every model in the S-Works collection has its own specific frame. We can thus talk about the Tarmac, Shiv, Venge, Allez, Roubaix, Epic, Ruby, Stumpjumper FSR Evo, Epic Hardtail, Enduro and Shiv TT frames.
What's more, each frame size is developed separately within the Rider First Engineered system, so each actually forms a separate, specific bike.

History of S-Works
Originally, S-Works models were developed for professional racers. While these bikes pushed the limits of maximum performance, they came at the cost of many compromises in rider comfort, long-term durability, and high serviceability. They were certainly not models that could be marketed commercially.
However, after 40 years of developing S-Works models, Specialized engineers have managed to combine the best riding characteristics with user comfort and high durability. The brand itself decries this with the apt statement that it has eliminated any distinction between "fastest" and "best."
S-Works models for sale
S-Works models are far from being available everywhere. The manufacturer only entrusts their sale to a handful of carefully selected dealers who are able to provide their customers with excellent advice and service.
Each component of the S-Works is essentially unique and is effectively integrated with the other components of the bike. The frame, wheels and all other components must be perfectly tuned to ensure the bike meets the most demanding expectations. Any mistake in servicing can greatly devalue the bike and its user value.
