We can't remember a time when we closed our shop for a whole weekday. However, Monday, May 20, 2024 was an exception; we had more than good reason for closing.
The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, honored us with his visit.
He spent the whole morning in our shop, during which we had the opportunity to have a few words with the President. On this occasion, he very willingly signed his illustration by Tomski&Polanski, which will be a reminder of this important event in the company's history.
The President's visit was accompanied by a major business event, reVision of the Czech Republic 2024, which he launched.

a view on the future of the domestic economy

More than three hundred Czech businessmen, entrepreneurs and politicians gathered at the largest meeting of Czech business - reVision of the Czech Republic 2024, which took place in Radotín, in the premises of Vindyš's factory.
The meeting was opened by Czech President Petr Pavel and during the day the founders of successful start-ups and established Czech companies took turns on the stage. The morning was a busy programme of panel discussions, while the afternoon programme was dedicated to informal workshops and round table discussions after a hearty lunch in our VELO restaurant.

ReVision of the Czech Republic 2.0 was opened by Czech President Petr Pavel, who highlighted three key topics for the government in his speech: improving communication, adopting the euro and not cheating in the budget.
The budget in particular will not go through as smoothly as it did last year. The purpose of the President's pressure on the government is to try to speed up the necessary modernisation of our country and its adaptation to the conditions of the 21st century.

After the President's speech, representatives of all three Czech unicorns met on stage. Olin Novák for Rohlík, Martin Felcman for Productboard and Richard Valtr for Mews.
