Product description
The POC Ventral Air MIPS cycling helmet sets a new standard in aerodynamic performance, safety and ventilation for road cycling helmets.
During its development, the POC brand used feedback from professional Pro Tour racers and aerodynamic experts at WATTS laboratories. The extensive experience of POC's engineers and extensive calculations and CFD aerodynamic drag simulations were also used. Thanks to this, the Ventral helmet acquired its unique shape, which makes it the fastest and safest road helmet of the POC brand since its inception.
The helmet's excellent aerodynamic properties are mainly due to the fact that air coming from the front is routed through the helmet, not around it, which significantly reduces air resistance. In addition, the Ventral MIPS model uses specifically modified air ducts to create pressure zones which, thanks to the Venturi effect, increase the speed of the airflow, allowing the helmet to pass through the air with even greater ease.
Where the air leaves the helmet, there is a specially shaped trailing edge that prevents turbulence and extends the linear airflow behind the helmet. This again enhances the aerodynamic performance of this protective sophisticated aid.
The airflow zones also provide excellent ventilation and cooling, adding to the helmet's overall functionality.
Safety features include MIPS technology, which has been designed to eliminate the rotational forces that occur in higher speed falls and have the most devastating effect on the brain.
The polycarbonate Unibody Shell and in-mould EPS internal construction contribute to safety, durability and a clean look, improving the helmet's overall cohesion and distribution of impact energy. As a result, less material can be used and the helmet can be lighter and airier while maintaining a high level of safety.
The fit of the helmet to almost any head shape is easily adjusted with one hand and a wheel in the back.
Extra features include storage openings for glasses.

MIPS - Multi-Directional Impact Protection System
MIPS is a slip liner between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner liners. In the event of an angled impact, the EPS shell of the helmet will roll a few millimetres over the MIPS layer, protecting the head and brain from the violent rotational jerk.
Although this movement is only on the order of a few millimeters, the result is that MIPS significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that might otherwise be transmitted to the brain.
