Product description
It's never "too early" for a bike! The Scamp II MIPS helmet will secure the very beginning of your child's biking experience on the bike and on the first pedal bikes. Giro drew inspiration for its design from their MTB top model Manifest. The low weight is ensured by EPS foam together with a durable polycarbonate shell, which are joined by In-mold manufacturing technology.
The Roc Loc Jr clamping system ensures an easy and secure fit, and a total of 13 vents keep even very hot heads cool. Just choose the right size and colour for your little biker!
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) provides increased protection against rotational forces on the head. More at

Technology
-
ROC LOC® AIR A revolutionary clamping system that improves both fit and ventilation of the helmet. The clamping system creates a small space between the head and the helmet itself where cool air flows. The setting options are the same as for the Roc Loc® 5 system.
-
IN-MOLD® Designation of a technological process in which EPS polystyrene foam is pressure-injected into the shell and reinforcements enclosed in the mould. Their connection reinforces the area of the vents and ribs. The result is a compact, uniform, lightweight, safe and very durable helmet.
-
MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) is a slippery insert between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner liners. In the event of an angled impact (for example, if you catch your head on a branch), the helmet's EPS shell will roll a few millimeters over the MIPS layer, protecting your head and brain from the violent rotational jerk.
