Road bike Cervélo Caledonia represents a modern take on an endurance road bike, combining Cervélo's signature speed with high comfort and practicality for long rides.
A geometry focused on comfortable all-day riding, a sophisticated carbon frame construction, and a clean aerodynamic design create a versatile road bike suitable for sporty rides, long fondo marathons, and daily training on various road surfaces.
The carbon frame with optimized fiber layup offers a balanced combination of stiffness, low weight, and vibration-damping capabilities from the road surface.
The Caledonia is fast enough for spirited group rides, yet provides stability and comfort for all-day riding.
Compared to the previous generation, the geometry has been adjusted, and the frame and fork clearance increased for wider tires. Using tires with larger volume improves stability, comfort, and control on rougher asphalt, expanding its usability.
One of the practical features is the cable routing, which combines a clean look with easy servicing. Unlike the Caledonia-5 model, it uses a mechanic-friendly solution – allowing for both fully integrated cable routing (with ST31/32 stems and HB18 handlebars) and standard semi-external routing.
The geometry with a longer wheelbase (1013 mm), a 415 mm rear triangle, and a 72° head tube angle ensures stable and predictable handling. The optimization of the trail geometry is designed with the use of wider tires around 32 mm in mind, which today represent an ideal compromise between speed and comfort.
The frame uses a T47a threaded bottom bracket, known for its reliability, ease of maintenance, and long lifespan. Thanks to its generous clearance, the frame allows for tire installation up to 36 mm wide, significantly increasing comfort on rough roads. For year-round use, removable fender mounts are also provided. If you don't need them, they won't spoil the clean look.
Main advantages:
- carbon frame with a balanced ratio of stiffness, comfort, and low weight
- endurance geometry for stable and comfortable all-day riding
- cable routing combining clean design and easy servicing
- optimized geometry for modern wider road tires
- T47a threaded bottom bracket for higher reliability and easy maintenance
