What is Bike Fitting?

Bike Fitting is the correct seating position on your bike. Our studio works with the latest RETÜL | Bike Fit technology to adjust the seating position. The rider wears wireless sensors and pedals on his bike clamped in the trainer. He is monitored by a camera system that transmits everything to a computer with specialized software, which then evaluates the seating position.

Who is Bike Fitting suitable for?

The system is suitable for anyone who enjoys and frequently rides a bicycle, from recreational cyclists to racers themselves. Proper fitting brings greater comfort, injury prevention, elimination of potentially limiting pain during riding, increased performance and reduced fatigue to everyone, regardless of their ability. We tailor each Bike Fitting to the rider's individual needs and goals.

How does Bike Fitting work?

Bike Fitting first involves an interview about the rider's sporting history and ambitions, their injury history and any movement limitations. This is followed by the measurement of the physical parameters and then a scan with the RETÜL | Bike Fit camera system while riding on the trainer with simultaneous seating adjustments. Then all measured parameters are evaluated and a new seat is set. The whole procedure usually takes between 2 and 3 hours.

Correct seating positioning on the bike is not just about performance, it's the key to comfort, injury prevention and biomechanical efficiency. Few people have the combination of professional racing experience, physiotherapy education and scientific research as our Fitter - Václav Šňupárek.

As a former professional cyclist for the development team - Team Novo Nordisk Continental, he knows exactly what it takes to achieve peak performance. Having competed in UCI races both on the road and track, he understands well how crucial the right position plays not only in terms of aerodynamics and strength, but also long-term health and injury prevention. With a Master's degree in Physiotherapy, he can tailor Bike Fitting to the individual needs of the cyclist, whether they are a professional, performance rider or a cyclist struggling with pain or injury.

An important part of Václav's research into comparing penile blood flow in performance cyclists on different saddles (soon to be published in an impactful scientific journal) was the precise seating adjustments using RETÜL | Bike Fit technology to ensure consistent racing positioning between riders during testing. In preparation for this research, he conducted extensive research on the topic and is thus perfectly oriented in published scientific research on the subject. As a result, he has also gained additional knowledge not only about biomechanics, but especially about the issue of the seat and the saddle itself, which is becoming increasingly popular among the public.
